What is a Licensed Professional Counselor? Licensed professional counselors help people deal with problems or conflicts they are unable to resolve alone, such as:

* Substance Abuse * Family Issues * Parenting * Marriage Conflicts * Career Concerns
* Eating Disorders * Depression * Suicidal Thoughts * Self-esteem Issues * Grief & Loss Issues
* Relationships * Learning Disabilities * Stress & Anger Management *Divorce *ADHD
* College Counseling                                     * And many other areas of concern or discomfort

Mental health counselors collect information through interviews, observations, and tests, and then decide how best to treat clients. The counselor may work with individuals, couples, families, or in group sessions of people with similar problems. Licensed Professional Counselors work closely with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to care for clients.
